Calculates Broad Market numbers
The Broad Market tool calculates many
market-wide numbers, such as the number or percent of
Advancing Issues, Declining Issues, New Highs, New Lows,
stocks above a moving average, or any number of your
creation. These numbers can then be used to construct
indicators such as the Advance/Decline Line, Advance/Decline
Ratio, Advancing minus Declining Issues, Arms Index (TRIN),
Breadth Thrust, Cumulative Volume Index, McClellan Oscillator,
McClellan Summation, New Highs minus New Lows Cumulative, New
Highs/New Lows Ratio, New Highs minus New Lows, Open-10 TRIN,
Overbought/Oversold, Upside/Downside Ratio, and
Upside/Downside Volume. For a great description of all

Folder
Averages
Calculates the average price of
all securities in a folder (a.k.a. Industry Indices).
Use the Paritech Industry Group CD to
create a database, then create a price-weighted index for each
group, then use the ERSA tool to see which industry groups and
which stocks have the best relative strength.

Over the years, we've developed three systems that we
believe are worthwhile. We don't include a ton of
systems, just our favorites, with documentation on how to use
the systems. The systems are:

Multiple
Security System Tester (MSST)
Improves upon the MetaStock
System Tester in many ways:
- Allows you to use the Explorer as a Multiple Security
System Tester.
- Place the results from a system test into any of the formula
tools.
- Trade on the OPEN of the following day, and still have the
ability to get stopped out that day (unlike
MetaStock, which waits another day before looking for
stops). This makes MSST more true-to-life than
MetaStock.
- Put multiple system tests in multiple windows in one chart,
and then scroll through all of your securities. The
tests are automatically updated.
- Put system test results in an Expert.
- Enhancements to 2.0 include commissions, interest, a delayed
entry on the open of the next bar, max loss stop, inactivity
stop, and profit target stop
- Pre-programmed with the standard versions of the MACD, RSI,
Stochastics, Moving Averages, and more.
Fundamental
Analysis (ValuShark)
After the last year, don't you
want to see the fundamentals now?
Plots P/E ratios, earnings growth, earnings bands, etc. in
MetaStock. You provide the data (only as much as you
want to see) in an ASCII file.
Formulas

Cool user requests.
Includes over 20 functions and formulas requested by our
users over the years, including the ability to import data
from a text file, calculate the price necessary to cause an MA
or MACD crossover, and lots of other fun stuff.
Other Stuff
Automation - All of the tools in SpyGlass can be executed
automatically. Just use Windows Scheduler to launch
SpyGlass with the command line of "auto" and
everything is done for you. The automated options are
set under the tools menu.
SpyGlass contains a utility that automatically adds all of the
Paritech industry groups to an update list in MetaStock or the
DownLoader, saving you over 600 mouse clicks.
